Taste of Austin is an event designed to showcase top Austin area restaurants, caterers, and hotels. The concept is simple; allow food lovers the chance to explore the incredible variety of flavors and restaurants served up in one event. Large and small, trendy and off-the-beaten path- if it's good food, you'll find it at Taste of Austin. Our taste-size portions let you sample many different restaurants and find new venues for eating out while each participating restaurant will have the opportunity to provide samples of key menu items and discover new customers.

This year we will have a coupon system for Taste of Austin guests who purchase General Admission tickets.  Surveys from guests attending past Taste events have asked us to encourage more local area restaurants and additional "high end" restaurants to participate.  We implemented the coupons system to provide a method for sharing ticket revenue with participating restaurants based on the quality of their "taste" and to encourage all types of restaurants to participate.

General Admission tickets include admission plus 20 taste upgrade coupons.  They include admission to the event and unlimited samples from many restaurants since over 20 of the participating restaurants have chosen not to collect coupons for their tastes. 

General Admission will receive 20 “upgrade tickets” to use with restaurants who require additional tickets for their samples. Some booths may collect 1 to 3 taste upgrade coupons for their selected tastes depending on the size and value of their "taste."

Based on past experience with similar events, we anticipate most attendees that purchase a General Admission Ticket will be able to enjoy a wide selection of "tastes" based on the restaurants they select.

If needed, extra "taste coupons" will be available for purchase during the event for .40 each or 20 for $8.00.

Attendees who purchase a $30 Reserved Seat ticket will receive a wristband for unlimited Tastes and access to the reserved seat area.

Parking and alcoholic beverages while available are not included. 

This year we plan to limit the number of total tickets sold and anticipate the possibility that Taste 2008 will SELL OUT.  Since we can not guarantee that tickets will be available at the door, we suggest you purchase tickets early.

All attendees, regardless of age, must purchase an event ticket and we discourage the use of strollers due to the size of the crowd.
